Scott Taylor utilizes universal symbols in his artwork, intrigued by their simplicity. Clear, concise and stripped of clutter, universal symbols transcend language, race, age, gender and geography—the simplest form of human communication.
“Bike Guy” was exhibited in McCarran Park, Brooklyn, NY in the summer of 2010 as part of the NYC Park’s Department’s Temporary Arts Program.
In addition to his welded steel sculptures, Scott and his wife, fashion designer Sylvia Heisel, create and consult on temporary interiors, environments, displays and events that combine contemporary design, art, fashion, culture, technology and lifestyle.
Their apartment installation was featured on the cover of New York Magazine’s design issue in May 2011.
